Gadgetory Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Gadgetory, an app published by MARUE WORKS. By downloading, installing, or using Gadgetory, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

1. What Gadgetory Does

Gadgetory helps you keep track of the devices you own — from the day you buy them to the day you let them go — including purchase details, warranty dates, photos, and a history of repairs or other events. Gadgetory does not require an account and does not sync your data to a server. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

2. Free Use and Gadgetory Unlimited

Gadgetory is free to use for up to 5 devices at a time. Every other part of the app — history, photos, timeline, cost tracking, backup and restore — is available on the free plan; the limit applies only to how many devices you can register at once.

Gadgetory Unlimited is an optional, one-time purchase that removes the device registration limit, so you can register as many devices as you like. It does not change or add anything else about how the app works.

3. In-App Purchases

Gadgetory Unlimited is a non-consumable, one-time purchase — it is not a subscription, it does not renew, and you are charged once. The price shown in Gadgetory is provided by the App Store at the time of purchase; we don't set that price or show a different one of our own. All purchases, payments, and refund requests are handled under Apple's and the App Store's own rules and policies, not by MARUE WORKS directly.

4. Restore Purchases

If you reinstall Gadgetory or use it on a new device with the same Apple Account, you can restore a previous purchase of Gadgetory Unlimited using the "Restore purchases" option in Settings. Whether a purchase is eligible to be restored is determined by Apple and the App Store.

5. Your Data and Backups

The devices, history, and photos you add to Gadgetory are stored on your device, and you are responsible for them. Gadgetory offers an optional Backup & Restore feature that lets you save a copy of your data to a location you choose and restore it later — including onto a new device. Restoring a backup replaces the data currently stored in Gadgetory with the data in that backup, and Gadgetory asks you to confirm before it starts; your Gadgetory Unlimited purchase isn't affected either way. Create a backup first if you want to keep your current records — for example before deleting the app, switching devices, or performing a device restore, since removing Gadgetory can remove its local data.

6. Acceptable Use

Please use Gadgetory only for its intended purpose — keeping track of your own devices — and don't try to interfere with the app, reverse engineer it beyond what's permitted by law, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.

7. Availability and Changes

We may update Gadgetory over time to fix problems, improve it, or add features, and app updates may change how certain screens look or work. We aim to keep Gadgetory available and working well, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may discontinue or change features with reasonable notice where practical.

8. Disclaimer

Gadgetory is provided "as is." We work to make it reliable, but we don't guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, Gadgetory is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MARUE WORKS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Gadgetory, including loss of data. Because your data lives on your device, we encourage you to use the Backup & Restore feature regularly to protect your own records.

10. Apple

Gadgetory is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, in addition to these terms. Apple is not a party to these Terms of Use and is not responsible for Gadgetory or its content, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Gadgetory.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and continued use of Gadgetory after a change means you accept the updated terms.
